Field-trip to the Grace

Last Friday, with the help of Marnie and Bobbi, we were able to take a field-trip to the children's wing of the Grace Museum. We had LOTS of fun!

We played life-size operation...








...and boy is Auntie Em glad these tiny doctors are not operating on me!!!

We shot each other like pirates with the really cool air cannon...









Then we DRESSED as pirates in the mini Paramount Theatre...






...some of us like to play dress-up more than others.



We got to rescue people in an ambulance...











Then we got to play in an Arabian storyteller's tent...



Overall, we had a GREAT time and worked up a HUGE appetite! So we went home and Chef Easton stirred us up a wonderful dinner.


Definitely a great day!

Thief!

I settled Lily in her chair to eat her grilled cheese sandwich and then started fixing Easton's lunch. I hear a squeal and turn around to find Taevin has crawled across the room in a flash to steal Lily's sandwich and cram it into his mouth before I can get to him, Lily squealing helplessly, locked in a Bumbo.








Poor Lily!

Fashion Statement

All the cool kids are doing it: tousled, bed-head hair, mermaid pjs, and one Ugg-style boot. Watch for it on the Paris runways this season!

Changelings in the nursery..

Where did my good babies go? I think gnomes have been exchanging them during nap time.

One day, the gnomes left me an Andrew with a peg leg...











Needless to say we had a wardrobe change.

Andrew has become quite the Houdini in other ways too. After swaddling him in three blankets, I came up to check on him--having not heard any sounds through the monitor and still thinking him asleep--to discover this:

Also, they've become terrible thieves. I feed Lily whenever she wants, but you couldn't tell it from the way she hauled off the empty pizza boxes...






When I bring my lunch to the nursery, vultures descend...





And then run away with my lunch...



Andrew actually stole a stolen cucumber right out of Lily's hand. And when he had trouble figuring out how to get it to his mouth...














...Lily picked it up and gave it back to him.





Which was sweet...until he took too long to grab it so she ate it instead.


Glad I steam-mopped the floor last night!

The only good child left is Taevin...who just stared rolling over at Auntie Em's!

Halloween Shopping

Auntie Marnie, Mommy, Lily, Taevin & Andrew went Halloween shopping today. Three babies and 8 stops was quite the adventure and, alas, we didn't make it to number 9. We did make some interesting discoveries:

...even though it's awkward, he insists on holding Marnie's hand.



Sam's Club doesn't sell EVERYTHING in bulk.

Even while shopping, nap time is very important. When the aunties say "lights out..."





...they mean lights out!

Overall, we had a fun time. Taevin was TOTALLY "King of the Nursery" today and when it was all said and done, we are mostly prepared for Halloween!
