Mommy's Cycle?

Since its assembly yesterday afternoon, Lily has been fascinated with her "chariot." She goes to the door, points to my bicycle and says, "Ready? Mommy's cycle? Ready?"

We took it for a test spin to Uncle Cookie's, but the real test was the park this morning. Exactly 1.5 miles roundtrip--not Mommy's ultimate exercise goal, but a good start for this stay-at-home-and-eat-chocolate mom!

Lily got the best part of the deal: she was delivered like Cleopatra from our front steps directly to the steps for the slide, served cheerios and apple juice for her in-flight meal, and then returned home after playing to her heart's content.

Oh to be Princess Tigerlily and NOT the rickshaw driver!

Raggedy Ann

Last weekend, Auntie Marnie got to visit with Grandma Jan--who sent back a bag full of treasure for Lily. In the bag was this very cute Raggedy Ann doll, which Lily has--in try Lily fashion--dubbed "Baby." Baby Ann has had a busy morning...

Upon discovery...

...she's had to sit at the table like a big girl...

...eat a Cheerio snack...

...sit in Lily's lap just like Lily does with Mommy...

...Thank you Grandma for Raggedy Ann!!

Testing the guest bedroom...

For those of you who visit us frequently, Princess TigerLily made up the guest bedroom today and tested it for you. It meets her royal approval--no peas to be found--and is ready and waiting for your arrival...albeit slightly rumpled.

Marking in a Library book...

For this morning's fieldtrip, Noni Andrew, Cookie, Lily and I went to the Friends of the Library Book Fair. Of course we all walked away with bags of books. On reviewing our purchases, Noni decided one of her books just wouldn't do and needed a little correction...

Gleefully, she giggles and says, " I'm writing in a library book. I always wanted to do that!"

Bag of books: $11.75
Watching your mother deface a library book: priceless!

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'...

...keep those wagons rollin',
Keep 'em rollin' to Story Time.

On Top of my Noni...

(sung in Jarrod's warbling singing voice to the tune of "on top of Spaghetti")

On top of my Noni,
I watch Sesame Street.
A more comfortable seat,
You may never meet...

Zoo!!

This morning we got to ride the train at the zoo!!! (because Noni saw Lily and Nathan's hopeful little faces).

And we got to pick which car to ride in--Nathan picked the caboose, which pleased Noni as that's her favorite train car.

We also got to see LOTS of animals...

...and feed the giraffes...and then we listened to Jingle Bells (Nathan's request) all the way home.

Shopping with Noni and Mommy

Yesterday, Lily got to eat lunch at Hickory Street Cafe and have tea with a bear!

Lily also got to test puppy pillows at Sam's Club with Mommy.

And then Lily got to nap under the cart while Mommy and Noni shopped. At least five people stopped us to express their wishes to be small enough to be pushed, stretched out full length under the cart while their companions bought stuff.

Definitely a great day!

Lily Visits ACU

Today we went to ACU to get something Daddy left at work. While there, we went on a tour of the new Learning Studio. Lily decided she was interested in the Macs in the Lab.

Later, we visited Daddy's work and Lily decided she wanted to try working the phones.

Brushing Our Teeth

Prisoner Lily

Clinking her infa-feeder on the bars and complaining about the accommodations.
